Waterfalls, Waterfalls, Waterfalls

Alabama is a beautiful state.  My wife, Jamie, and I are always on the lookout for unique and beautiful places to explore.  We usually end up around some type of water, whether rivers, lakes or the ocean.  What we’ve discovered is within a 2 hour drive of the Birmingham area there are incredible waterfalls to enjoy, most are easy to access.  With a little planning you can see a few of these in a one day trip.

DeSoto Falls, just outside of Mentone, Alabama

Walls of Jericho, Estillfork, Alabama.  This is a tough hike but worth the effort.
